Whether you’re coming by Metro, bus, taxi or car, getting to Expo 2020 couldn’t be simpler. Our three main entrances are a 20-minute drive from Dubai Marina, while the Metro’s Route 2020 takes you directly to Expo 2020. If you have specific accessibility needs, we have a dedicated accessibility for transportation and parking page.
We want to make sure that your visit is both enjoyable and safe. Please take a look at our COVID-19 safety measures.
By Expo Rider and RTA buses
Get to and from the Expo 2020 site via a dedicated public bus service: Expo Rider. It’s free of charge for Expo 2020 visitors! You just have to show a valid Expo 2020 ticket when you board the bus and you can catch it from different locations in Dubai and other Emirates. Just remember where it drops you off as you’ll have to take the return trip from the same gate! Note that on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and peak days, you need to make sure you have a return trip token. Find out how to get your token in our FAQs below.
You can also pay to hop on any of RTA’s standard buses.

Dubai’s taxis and car hires are plentiful. Taxis can be booked by phone, but the simplest way is to download the Careem, Uber or S’hail app. Through the Careem app, you can also book ‘Hala Taxi’, which is Dubai’s most affordable taxi. There will be a starting flat fee of AED 20 for rides originating from the Expo site.
These are four taxi drop-off points:
Opportunity
Sustainability
Mobility
Dubai Exhibition Centre
If you’re driving to the Expo 2020 site, you can get here from all major roads. Follow the signs for one of the four designated parking zones:

To ensure an easy and comfortable journey on weekends and peak days, the priority to board Expo Rider buses is given to those with return trip tokens. When you get on the Expo Rider at your origin destination (in Dubai or other Emirates), make sure that you speak to one of the supervisors and let them know the preferred time for your return journey. They’ll then give you a return trip token for that time. Please note that return trip tokens are subject to availability and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Golf buggies are available for rent from 09:00-00:00 Sunday to Thursday and 09:00-02:00 Friday to Saturday.
You can flag down an empty golf buggy if you see one anywhere in the Expo site or you can walk into one of the four Golf Buggy Majlis locations (by the arrivals plaza of Opportunity, Sustainability, Mobility and 2020 Plaza) and make a booking, subject to availability.
Cash and credit card payments are accepted at the Golf Buggy Majlis, while the buggy drivers only accept credit card payment. Tickets are non-refundable after first use.
