Around 2 million children in Bangladesh drop out of school to work before achieving literacy. There are also more than 15 million Bangladeshis worldwide who can afford to financially support these students. With a vision of a literate Bangladesh by connecting the two groups, AlterYouth is a tech-startup platform for individuals to simply and transparently start literacy scholarships for financially struggling students in government primary schools throughout Bangladesh and prevent dropouts before achieving literacy.
