Dar Si Hmad and its German partner the Water-Foundation have proved that fog can be a reliable and valid water-resource with a state-of-the art project. They built the largest fog-collection installation in the world, with 1700 m2 of moisture capturing netting, which supplies potable water to 16 villages of the Anti-Atlas, Southwest Morocco. Women, who are the traditional water-guardians, have gained back the 3.5 hours daily for water-fetching, more girls are attending school, and the villages are enjoying a better overall quality of life.
