About the company

Shared Studios exists to create meaningful human connections between people separated by distance and difference, including schools and their students, bringing them together in immersive audiovisual spaces called Portals to talk, dance, play and collaborate, as if in the same room. Teachers can use Portals to promote global literacy, stimulate creativity, and foster cultural understanding among their students. Shared Studios is using the Expo Live grant to develop a full K-12 Portals curriculum that will enable teachers to integrate the Portal experience into their learning materials.
